Out of all my doodles i finally decided on a packaging idea!

Here you can seen the making of my net, i measured the page to get and idea on how big the prototype will be. The Square was 7.9cm by 7.9cm because i wanted a thick pyramid instead of a skinny one. Then the length of the triangles are 11cm each. This will give more space for my designs.
Here you can see the cut out, you might be wondering weres the tabs? There is none and that's the key element to this packaging. I want to make it interactive, to represent me because i like getting involved as much as i can. This can be from hobbies, university or my own personal life.
Here is another net to put over the pyrimid. Its important that i perfect this net because it will be the topper holding the packaging. I made a dot in the middle if the page and used the other net as my guide line then i cut it down to be small enough for a stopper. I could do it two ways, one: with tabs on number 1 and 4 or make another triangle (5) and stick it under number 1. I think i will go with the tabs idea because it will make it thicker on one triangle.
Here is the net stuck together, showing that number 5 is tucked away, however after playing with the topper on top it just didn't work, it didn't support the design and it just fell apart. Then it also had another flaw it had gaps in the corners... i thought thats it, going to have to think of another design, however i thought why not cover the whole packaging and make it into a cover/case? This will allow it to be a surprise to my consumer/target audience.
Here you can see that i have repeated the process but made it in another colour (black) to see what it would look like. I really like this idea of a case covering the packaging and been a big revel. Its a bit like me, you dont know what your going to expect, but its something good.
This is the big reveal! the design goes flat showing the inside of the net so you can have the packaging in two ways 1 corporate and the other illustrated. This will show two sides of me as a designer and that i can work in both ways.
Here is another way the case could be shown, allowing the designs to show through and can select certain areas to show.
BIG PROBLEM! I noticed that when i was demonstrating the packaging i forgot how will you keep it 3D instead of just a net. No one will be able to see the overall designs. Think, Hayley, THINK! Why dont i use plastic covering? This will be in the same net as the pyramid. So this means i will have 3 nets 4 layers with 4 pieces of information in icons/text. The plastic will hold the design together and you will still be able to flip the design over for a new one. PROBLEM SOLVED!
